Bullish Candle

Also called: Green candle

// Definition

A bullish candle is a candle that closed higher than it opened, usually shown in green.

Explained simply

A bullish candle means buyers won that period: price ended above where it started.

How strong the buyers were depends on the shape. A long green body with small wicks shows strong buying. A small green body with a long upper wick shows that buyers pushed up but sellers took back most of the move.

Tip

One green candle is not an uptrend. Look for a series of higher highs and higher lows before calling the trend up.
