Triple Bottom Pattern

A triple bottom is a bullish reversal pattern where price tests the same support three times and holds each time.

How to spot a Triple Bottom

  • Forms after a downtrend
  • Three lows at roughly the same level
  • A resistance line runs over the bounces
  • Completes on a close above that resistance

What the Triple Bottom tells you

Buyers defend the same floor three times. When resistance breaks, sellers who shorted the range are forced out.

How traders use it

  • Enter long on a close above the resistance line or on its retest
  • Place the stop below the third bottom
  • Target the height of the pattern projected up

Common mistakes

  • Buying the third bottom before the breakout
  • Ignoring a falling higher-timeframe trend
  • No stop-loss

Questions about the Triple Bottom

Is a triple bottom bullish?

Yes, once price closes above the resistance line over the three lows.

Triple bottom vs double bottom?

Both are bullish reversals. A triple bottom has one more test of support and usually takes longer to form.

For education only, not financial advice. The chart is an illustration of the pattern, not real market data. No pattern works every time; always use a stop-loss.
