Order Block

Also called: OB, Bullish order block, Bearish order block

// Definition

An order block is the last opposite-coloured candle before a strong move, marking a zone where large players are thought to have placed their orders.

Explained simply

A bullish order block is the last red candle before a strong move up. A bearish order block is the last green candle before a strong move down. When price later returns to that zone, it often reacts again.

The best order blocks come before a move that breaks market structure, and have not yet been revisited.

Tip

An order block is a zone to watch, not an automatic entry. Wait for price to react there before acting.
