RSI (Relative Strength Index)

Also called: RSI, Relative strength index

// Definition

The RSI is a momentum indicator that measures the speed of recent price moves on a scale from 0 to 100.

Explained simply

It is usually calculated over 14 candles. Readings above 70 are traditionally called overbought and readings below 30 oversold.

Those levels are not automatic buy or sell signals. In a strong trend, RSI can stay above 70 or below 30 for a long time while price keeps going.

Tip

Use RSI with structure and levels. An oversold reading at strong support means more than an oversold reading on its own.
